Protection from Personal Liability
The California Supreme Court has decided a case of critical importance to corporate officers and directors, ruling that they cannot be held personally liable for unpaid wages or overtime pay owed by a corporate employer.
カリフォルニア最高裁によれば、賃金、残業代の未払いついて、企業のオフィサーやディレクターに個人的な責任を負わせることは出来ないと判決した。
What Should You Do?
●Comply with state and federal wage and hour laws, including California Industrial Wage Orders applicable to your business.
●Periodically review the actual job duties of all employees being treated as exempt from overtime to assure continued validity of their exempt status.
